Join us for the New Bedford Ocean Economy Conference Series — a three-part event exploring innovation, technology, and industry trends across Aquaculture, Commercial Fishing, and Offshore Renewable Energy. Hosted by the New Bedford Ocean Cluster, the series will bring together research, industry, and public sector leaders at the forefront of the ocean economy to learn, network, showcase technology and the latest industry trends, and share best practices.

Track I: Aquaculture - April 14, 2026 REGISTRATION CLOSED

Networking Breakfast & Speaking Program: 8:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Optional Lunch: Strengthening Aquaculture Through Coastal Wastewater Advocacy, A Meeting of the SouthCoast Aquaculture Coalition: 12:30-1:30 p.m.

Join the Marion Institute, New Bedford Ocean Cluster, Massachusetts Aquaculture Association, Buzzards Bay Coalition, and Southeastern MA Agricultural Partnership for a follow-up conversation on proposed legislation addressing CSOs and wastewater infrastructure on the Southcoast. 

Optional Tour: West Island Oyster Farm - 2:00-5:00 p..m.

Track II: Offshore Renewable Energy - July 14, 2026

Networking Breakfast & Speaking Program: 8:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Optional Tour: UMass Dartmouth School for Marine Science & Technology and Technology Demonstration at WHOI's Mobile Dockside Access Point - 2:00-5:00 p.m.

Track III: Commercial Fishing - October 15, 2026

Optional Tour: Port of New Bedford by Ferry and BASE Seafood Auction - 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

Speaking Program & Networking Reception: 1:00-6:00 p.m.

Conference Series Details:

Each track includes networking, a half-day speaking program, and an optional tour (additional fees will apply for tours). The April 14 & July 14 tracks include a networking breakfast and the October 15 track includes a networking reception with light refreshments to celebrate and conclude the conference series. While we encourage you to join us for all three tracks, you may register for a two track bundle or a single track of your choice.

Registration Fees:

  • Full Conference Series - $150
  • Two Track Bundle - $110 
  • Single Track - $60 (You are registering for a Single Track, which includes one 1/2 day program track of your choice and the optional tour offered on July 14 or October 15)

Tickets are non-refundable.
